Overview

A Classical Menagerie with Pink Martini

Portland’s favorite bands – Pink Martini and the Oregon Symphony – put an Afro-Cuban spin on Prokofiev's Peter & The Wolf, uncage Ned Rorem's jazz-inspired Lions, bring China Forbes to the stage with Villa-Lobos's exotic "Vocalise" from Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5, and feature other classical works alongside Pink Martini favorites like "Amado Mio" and "Brasil." When Thomas Lauderdale and his pal Carlos Kalmar get together, one thing’s for sure – it’ll be a party not to be missed.
